Cookie policy

Last updated: June 22, 2026

This page explains how Blense uses cookies and local storage on your device. We want to be upfront: Blense itself collects as little as possible; where usage data or advertising is involved, it is handled by third-party services under their own policies.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website can save in your browser. Local storage (localStorage) is a similar mechanism, but the data stays only on your device and is never automatically sent to servers.

Cookies and storage we use

Essential storage — theme (light/dark)

We save your theme preference (light or dark) in your browser’s localStorage. This data never leaves your device, is not sent to any server, and does not identify you. Legal basis: legitimate interest in minimal usability (LGPD, Art. 7, IX).

Language

Language is determined by the URL prefix you access (/pt, /en, /es). We do not use a language cookie.

Third-party cookies

Google AdSense (advertising)

Blense displays ads served by Google AdSense. To personalize and serve relevant ads, Google sets its own cookies in your browser. Blense does not have access to those cookies and does not control the data Google collects through them.

Consent and privacy notices related to advertising are managed by Google itself, which may display a consent banner before enabling personalized ads, depending on the legislation applicable in your region.

To manage your Google ad preferences, visit adssettings.google.com. Learn more in Google’s privacy and advertising policy.

Microsoft Clarity (usage analytics)

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with the site — for example through aggregated heatmaps and session recordings. Clarity sets the cookies _clck and _clsk in your browser.

By using and remaining on Blense, you agree to the collection of this usage data, as described in the Terms of use and the Privacy policy. Data collected by Clarity is processed by Microsoft under its privacy statement. Blense receives only aggregated data.

How to manage cookies

  • ”Cookies settings” modal: click “Cookies” in the footer to review our policy and confirm your preference.
  • Browser settings: you can block or delete all cookies and site data in your browser settings. This includes Google AdSense and Microsoft Clarity cookies.
  • Google ad preferences: adssettings.google.com

LGPD transparency

Blense processes local theme storage under legitimate interest (LGPD, Art. 7, IX). Third-party cookies (Google AdSense and Microsoft Clarity) are processed by the respective companies under their own legal bases — Blense is not the controller of that data.
